The Soap Box, April 15th
Prayers for Jeanne Cooper! The 84-year-old Young and the Restless actress has been been hospitalized for an unknown illness.
CBS Los Angeles reported Saturday, April 13 that the veteran soap opera star is in critical condition at a Los Angeles hospital. Cooper actor son's Corbin Bernsen, now starring on USA's Psych, has been tweeting updates on his mother's condition.
"Need some prayers for my mom tonight. Not doing great," the former L.A. Law star, 58, wrote April 12. "I don't believe it is the end of her journey, but still a very uphill battle."
The next day he shared, "All still stable this morning with mom, such a fighter. So many have noted that. Your prayers are powerful and kind words overwhelming."
"Long day at hospital," he added in an update later that same day. "Mom is resting fine and progressing. Oddly a profound, life affirming day. You were all in the room with us, your power."
On Sunday, Bernsen went back to the hospital and shared some positive news. "Not much change for mom but heading in the right direction," he said. "Embracing small steps and signs toward recovery. Wow!"
