Venus In Transit


(Pictured Above.) June 2004 as seen from the Philippians. Venus crosses between the Earth and the Sun twice every one-hundred years or so.  The two crossings are within a relatively short amount of time.  In our lifetime, the first was in 2004,  the second is today; June 5th, 2012. (Pictured Below.)




The dot shown on both pictures is Venus crossing before the Sun.  The next time this will happen will be in June 2117.  One Hundred and Five years from now.

This is a rare event, not to be seen again in our lifetime!!
