Happy Thanksgiving

With another Thanksgiving fast approaching, I have been busy preparing my home for tomorrow's holiday dinner. Cleaning, baking, cooking the stuffing - to set overnight before I prepare the actual dinner tomorrow. I am thrilled to say that I will be sharing the holiday with my beautiful daughter, two of my sisters and a family friend. It is a day, which should be shared.

I have been craving turkey for the longest time! I'm sooo glad that tomorrow is nearly here. I will be serving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, baby carrots, gravy, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls. With pumpkin pie and lemon cakes with cream cheese icing.

A lot of work! But will sooooo be worth it. Mmmmmm I'm hungry already!

Aside from the delicious food and the wonderful company, this is a holiday when we reflect and give thanks for all of our blessings.

This year, I have a lot to be thankful for. My daughter has recently reached her 1 year anniversary of being out on her own. And although I miss her every day - I am thrilled for her. I am also delighted that she has been continuing her schooling. I wish for her nothing but the absolute best in all that she does through her life.

My friends. I am blessed to have some wonderfully fantastic people in my life. Each for which I am eternally grateful. I truly do not know what I would do without them. And one in particular. One I can lean on - depend on - laugh with - cry with - rejoice with - and sometimes even survive with. God sent me a jewel in her.

This has been a truly amazing year; 4 months ago I found my father. After an extremely bumpy start - I believe that we are approaching a more smooth surface in which to move forward upon together. I have spoken countless times with my father, in email and on the phone. Both of my new-found sisters and I have had the opportunity to speak and get to know one another a little bit. I have even shared a very productive conversation with my step-mother.

Great Family and Friends. Health. Peace of mind and spirit. Fantastic Food and people to share the day with.

I am truly blessed!
